Our Mother is bleeding
Ancient Lore told of a time like this. Much of the Ancient Lore is lost to our world through wars, oppression and authoritarianism.
It was just a matter of time before I would write something about this COVID-19 Pandemic gripping our world. It is a very hard subject to try and put on paper, and not sound doomist about it.
My view about this, is that this was a long time coming, and there were signs all around us for a very long time, but we as humankind being so wrapped up in the hurried world we made for ourselves, chasing after the worldly pleasures and material things we see as important, missed it or saw it, and just let it pass as if it would just go away.
Our Mother, the one that has been sustaining us for millions of years, the one that we call home, have grown tired. She has been asking us to change our ways, through weather changes, storms, winds, earth quakes, warning us … and we did not listen. We have grown very disrespectful towards Her and nature in general. We have grown to see ourselves as separate from Her and everything else different from us.
Like any mother, she will ask and ask and ask, and then act, to make one understand the error of one’s way.
Once one realises and understands, that this planet we call home is but a speck in the Cosmos, and that we as humankind are but a speck on this speck we call home, one starts to question a great many things, and the real spiritual journey starts. We were never, and will never be the superior species in the greater scheme of things. Yet, we started to deforest this EARTH of ours. We pump tons of crap into the AIR we need to stay alive. We dumped all sorts of OUR waste into the WATER needed by all life. The FIRE of greed and money burnt our souls away. And now everyone wants to know why this is happening, and are in a state of distress and panic??
Mother is taking away what we as humankind deem as important, to make us understand; Money, Power, Control, Life. The wise will see and understand. The ignorant will continue, and will keep on receiving the same lesson. She is also teaching us a lesson in Time. Our experts are rushing to find a solution for something they do not understand and can’t control, yet this lesson will stay its course and conclude once the lesson is understood. No man-made time will dictate this.
Maybe it is time for humankind, to ask for forgiveness from our Mother and the Cosmos at large for our selfishness in the actions we take! Maybe it is time that we as humankind start to respect all around us, all the time! Maybe it is time that humankind realises what is really important!
The truth we chase is not something to gain or buy or even poses. The truth is YOU my fellow human. It has always been thus.
Maybe in this time of “Self-Isolation” you will have the TIME to see this!
Maybe in this TIME you will understand the importance to spend TIME with the people most around you … Your Family, your kin!
Maybe it is TIME to show kindness to yourself and all around you!
Maybe in this TIME, you can see that life as we know it, can be halted at any moment, by a force much greater than YOU!
Take this TIME to give thanks to the HOME you have, this great big planet. Our Mother!
