Rotlaust Tre Fell

Knowing your roots and where you come from over the centuries, might be one of the most important life journeys you can undertake in understanding what you have always known, deep inside yourself!

People that know me understand how important knowing my roots is to me. I have done allot of searching over the past few years.

The search was brought about by a song from the band Wardruna: Rotlaust Tre Fell or translated as Rootless Tree Falls. In the old traditions, allot of the understanding of the world centred on Nature in its simplest forms. That is why this simple phrase resonates so strongly with me. A tree with dead roots will die! As with a tree without roots will die, will we as beings not be hollow and dead inside without knowing our roots and where we come from?

A tree grows, produce seed that grows into another tree. With that seed comes traits and characteristics from the original tree, yet the new tree will be unique and at the same time be the same type of tree. Are we as beings not the same?

Unfortunately, over time, most of where we come from, and our old traditions, were taken away from us, either by choice or force. Migration, Religion, Wealth and Power all played a role in this loss of our roots.

We all have ancient genes within us. We all have ancient traits and characteristics. Our forefathers all walked the ancient world. Once one realises this, the world kind of don’t make sense, because we do not know where and when and how. Once one starts to explore these questions, some things suddenly makes sense. Some of the exploration leaves more questions, and leads to new paths.

6 Years ago, on Facebook, I posted the following:

That one moment that defined everything in your life …

That is when I realised that there were more to life than just this shell that we live in. There were more to know and learn from the past. The lost wisdom of ancient worlds is within us all! We have just “forgotten” about it.

My wish for everyone that reads this is that you will explore and find your roots. It will be a very insightful journey. Sometimes confusing. Sometimes Painful. But you will have an understanding why certain things are the way they are.

Rotlaust Tre Fell … Rootless Tree Falls

Find your roots. They are not dead!
In the process … You will find yourself!

Thank you for the picture Sanet. It defines everything above. From an old bicycle wheel, something new was born, in the form of the Tree Of Life!
